Njord

Ancient Mythology meets Modern Investment Management

  • In the Norse mythology, Njord is the God of the Sea and the Wind. He was among the select Gods who survived Ragnarok (Armageddon, the final battle of the Gods).  Njord was called upon when villagers set out to sea on hunting or fishing expeditions. When stormy weathers would roughen the seas, Njord was invoked to ensure a safe return of the expedition and to warrant a good catch.
  • At Njord Partners, we think similarly about our role as an investment manager:

“It is our primary responsibility – even under the most volatile market conditions – to ensure the safe return of our clients’ money; and secondly, delivering superior return on invested capital.”
